All citizens are informed that the regulations for collecting epigeal mushrooms have been approved by the Comunità Montana di Scalve.
The municipalities of Azzone, Colere, Schilpario, and Vilminore di Scalve adhere to the regulations. Their territories, coinciding with the territory of the Comunità Montana di Scalve, are identified as a single homogeneous area for the purposes of mushroom collection.
EXEMPTIONS FROM PAYMENT:
a) Local farmers of Val di Scalve;
b) Owners and those who manage their own forest land;
c) Users of civic property, i.e., all residents of the four municipalities that are part of the Comunità Montana di Scalve, as beneficiaries of such use, and users of collective property;
d) Members of agricultural-forestry cooperatives in Val di Scalve.
Exempt individuals must prove their eligibility to the inspecting officers (e.g., ID card for residents).
Authorization to collect mushrooms for all other citizens is subject to payment of a fee.
MUSHROOM PERMIT FEES:
a) Daily permit: €5.00
b) Weekly permit (7 days): €20
c) Monthly permit (30 days): €40
d) Annual permit (all days of the calendar year): €70
The cost of the permit is reduced by 50% for owners of second homes in the Val di Scalve area.
Only safe mushrooms after Micologist inspection
Before consuming mushrooms collected personally, received as gifts, or purchased outside regular commercial channels, it is strongly recommended to have them checked by the ATS Micological Inspectorate. The service is free, and during the peak mushroom growth and collection period, normally from August to November, the Micological Inspectorate provides inspection services through authorized personnel.
In Val di Scalve, for an inspection of your harvest, you can go to Morelfungo, the mushroom shop in Piazza C. Angelo Maj in Schilpario.
