Rifugio Tagliaferri

Rifugio Nani Tagliaferri

The highest refuge in the Orobie, a gem perched at an altitude of 2,328 meters!

The Rifugio Nani Tagliaferri is located at the Passo di Venano, in the upper Valle del Vò. Positioned halfway between the Rifugio Curò and Passo del Vivione, the refuge can be reached by taking the CAI 413 trail. The route is quite challenging: in about 4 hours and a 1200-meter of altitude difference, you can start from the Ronco area (Schilpario) and reach the Passo di Venano.

Along the entire route, there are plenty of attractions: the Vò waterfall, a diverse floral heritage, and numerous wildlife sightings, including marmots and roe deer… all of this helps soften the steep slopes leading to the long-awaited destination!

A challenging hike in the wild nature of the Val di Scalve, but one that rewards with spectacular views: at the summit, the panorama is breathtaking!

The refuge, with 60 seats available both inside and outside, offers a catering service with typical dishes: excellent game, polenta, and local cheeses.

Additionally, for those wishing to spend a night at altitude, the structure offers 60 beds with shared bathrooms.

The hospitality of the manager, Francesco Tagliaferri, is guaranteed!
