Fishing along the valley floor

North of the fishing competition area, near the Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonnina, continuing upstream the Dezzo stream flows past the hamlets of S. Andrea and Dezzolo, then continues towards Barzesto until reaching Schilpario, where the no-fishing zone begins.
In the locations mentioned above there are parking areas and signs indicating how to access the river: the walking paths take between 5 and 10 minutes in all cases.

Another convenient access point can be found near the Manna stream (at the road junction that turns towards Vilmaggiore); by parking the car along the roadside (gravel area), the river can be reached in about 10 minutes via the clearly visible mule track descending into the valley.

Moving upstream from Dezzo to Schilpario, this long stretch of river is wild and unspoiled. There are moderately difficult passages due to the dense vegetation that in some places reaches the riverbanks and makes passage more difficult.
The aquatic fauna includes large brown trout, and anglers can choose between bottom fishing, spinning, or fly fishing.

Near the village of Barzesto, the river branches off toward the Valle del Vò.
