Ecomuseo delle Miniere Zanalbert

The Presolana Ecomuseum – Zanalbert Mining Museum showcases the historical and cultural identity of the local community, bringing to light the traces of the village’s past.

Located in the Carbonera area of Colere, the museum is housed in the building of the former washing plant. Until the 1970s, this was the site where fluorite extracted from the Presolana mines, at an altitude of 1,900 meters, was first processed.

The museum is spread over three levels. The ground floor features the entrance and a room dedicated to an interactive educational space. From here, visitors can access the west side, where a large collection of minerals, a mining cart, and installations of ancient tools provide a vivid representation of the place and the history of this valley.

On the second floor is the large tank, the “washing plant” used for processing extracted materials. The third floor is dedicated to a conference room and a multipurpose area for educational and cultural activities.

The outdoor areas of the museum are equipped for picnics and barbecues.
